<title>Federal Court Advances Challenge to Illinois Policy Warehousing Residents with Mental Illnesses</title>

U.S. District Court Judge William Hart recently granted class action status to a lawsuit, brought by four individual clients, charging that Illinois in violation of federal laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). <title>Veteran of Gulf War Sues Commonwealth Edison for Discriminatory Discharge</title>

Equip for Equality has filed an ADA employment discrimination lawsuit in federal court in Chicago on behalf of a veteran with post-traumatic stress disorder and depression.  The case was brought on behalf of Timothy Pruitt against his former employer Commonwealth Edison, and its parent company Exelon.
